Details of event

Roxette returned on stage in autumn this year after an 8-year break. Their concerts in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Russia were total sell-outs. On March 18 Roxette will give a performance in Saku Suurhall in Tallinn as part of their world tour, which will be launched at the beginning of 2011.

In 1986 Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson formed a band named Roxette, which shot to stardom in the pop-music world. “The Look” album, which appeared in 1989, brought the band cosmic popularity and was followed by the successful “Joyride”, “Tourism”, “Crash! Boom! Bang!”, “Have a Nice Day” and “Room Service”. To date, fans have bought more than 60 million copies of various Roxette albums.

Roxette visited Estonia in 2001 and gave a dynamic and memorable concert. The enraptured audience met the Swedish megaband with a rousing ovation, sang along to Roxette’s best hits with great enthusiasm and left the concert hall feeling elated. “Roxette were very touched by the warm reception given to them by the Estonian public and made it clear that they would definitely like to come back to our country. For 10 years we have been waiting for that. Now we are very glad that the concert in Estonia was among the first to be included in the tour schedule,” said Eva Palm, managing director of BDG Music. After Marie Fredriksson got ill, the band had to stop its creative endeavours for almost 8 years. In 2009, however, Roxette resumed its music career and is now an ever-frequent guest on stage. The band gave an exclusive performance at the concert held on June 18 in Stockholm to celebrate the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria.

The concert on March 18 will feature both fresh tracks from the latest album as well as Roxette’s best hits. “Besides new songs we would definitely like to treat the audience with our well-known ballads, which we have been playing from the start of our career and which people are looking forward to and are always happy to hear,” confirmed Per Gessle.

The concert producer is BDG Music.

The doors will be opened at 18:00

The concert will start at 19:30
